Saving money can be difficult during times when there are things that you absolutely need. Every now and then there are things that you need to buy; tables, chairs, assorted electronics and other miscellanea.

When you've exhausted your other resources (Goodwill, Salvation Army, random friends) garage sales can be an excellent way to find deals that you wouldn't have otherwise found.

But how do you find where the garage sales are? If you live around a college campus, chances are you don't live near an area that has lots of garage sales (because there aren't that many garages).

This is where Yahoo!'s Yardsale Treasure Map comes in. It scours craigslist for posted garage sales in your area, and instantly maps out a route for you to follow and hit up different garage sales.

Once you get to the garage sale, it's up to you to find the goods, however!
