Editor's note: We issued each of the finalists a challenge. Find out what young people really want from their financial institution. |
I went out to the streets to see what people's thoughts were about credit unions and banks in general. I was surprised by the answers that I received! It seemed like everyone had questions, but no place to get answers.
I gave the interviewees the questions cold (no prepping, and I didn't even really tell them what the interview was about before I sat them down) and really got some great insight into the pulse of young financial minds, and the age old question, "What do you want from a financial institution?"
Special thanks to:

Great video DeAndre'. Credit unions have some work to do to let young people know what makes them tick.

Great video, DeAndre'! I am going to make sure my fellow credit union board members and our credit union's management see this video. It is an eye opener. Ooh! Kevin's comments stung but, I guess, the truth hurts.

WOW DeAndre' great interview and footage. That is the exact message that I have been preaching since arriving on the map of credit unions. It is almost past the point of no return for many credit unions in America. Until credit unions and board members wake up to reality we will continue to have this type of shock-sting in our heart. I will be blogging in the near future on this very topic. I plan to have a speakers packet ready to go out as well so that we can somehow/someway get this message across the country before it's to late. Again, terrific work, job well done, and great communication.

DeAndre. Your video really gets straight to the issue while still being fun and informative.
Your video is not about you but about what the YOUNG people want.
Well played sir, well played!
