Young & Free Texas is no longer active
YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Why is the TDECU no longer involved with Young & Free?
After close to three years, TDECU has decided to go a different direction with its young adult marketing activities.
Would another Texas credit union be able to take on the program?
Absolutely. It’s a great program and we believe it would be a great fit for a progressive, youth-centered credit union or group of credit unions.
Did Young & Free Texas connect with Gen Y?
Yes. Throughout it's run, the program saw sustained interest, participation and traffic. TDECU saw thousands of new accounts opened and they were very pleased with the 2009 Young & Free Texas Spokesperson, DeAndre Upshaw and the 2010 Young & Free Texas Spokesperson, Josh Garrett. Both demostrated a great ability to communicate and attract young adult interest in the credit union.
The staff at TDECU were a pleasure to work with and we wish them all the best in the future.

A MESSAGE FROM JOSH GARRETT
Thank you all!
For everyone who has ever taken a gander at the blogs, had a laugh at the videos, or went to one of our events—thank you.
Since being voted as your Young & Free Texas Spokesperson, my life has changed completely. So I wanted to recap on some of those goofy moments we've had over the ages, and again, thanks!
Talk to you later Texas!
Josh
